Discord Data: Your Discord user ID, username, profile picture (avatar), and server/role information (used strictly to verify administrator privileges for dashboard access).
User-Provided Configuration: Custom commands, Discord webhook URLs, and notification preferences you configure in the dashboard.
Third-Party Platform Data: If you opt-in to use our automated posting features for external platforms (such as Instagram), we collect and securely store the necessary authentication tokens and account IDs required to listen for new content and post alerts. We do not require authentication for public Twitch or YouTube alerts.
What We Do Not Collect: We do not read, store, or log your private Discord messages, personal financial information, or passwords.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to operate MemeBot. This includes authenticating your access to the web dashboard, verifying your permissions within Discord servers, and routing automated third-party content alerts (from Twitch, YouTube, and Instagram) to your designated Discord channels.
3. Sharing Your Information (No Third-Party Sharing)
Data collected from Discord, Meta (Instagram), and other linked platforms is used solely to provide MemeBot's core notification functionality. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or third-party authentication data with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third parties. We may only disclose your information in response to a lawful request from a law enforcement agency or regulatory authority.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide MemeBot’s services. If MemeBot is removed from a Discord server, the associated configuration data for that server is deleted.
Data Deletion Instructions: You may request the deletion of your data or revoke MemeBot's access to your third-party accounts at any time.
Automated Deletion: To delete your Meta (Instagram) data, log into the MemeBot web dashboard (https://dash.memebot.live) and select the option to unlink your accounts. Unlinking an account instantly and permanently deletes the associated authentication tokens and stored platform data from our systems.
Manual Deletion: You may also request complete data deletion by emailing [email protected] with your Discord User ID.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information and authentication tokens from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and we will post the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of MemeBot after we make changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
